How Can rapid Heart Rate Along With Heart Palpitations Be Treated?
In the last few months , I have noticed that my heart starts to pump much faster lasting any where from 5- 20 minutes... Doesn t seem to be tied in to any specific activity. I take synthroid (1 mcg in the mornings). I used to get a few heart palpitations in the past right before I got my period. Now that I only get my period irregularly, don t see a tie in to that. I work out 3 days a week and do yoga most evenings. Not sure I should be worried about this
Consult a physician and get a thyroid function test to assess your thyroid status if the hormones are elevated necessary dose adjustments may be required.
If you persistently experience the symptoms, better to consult a cardiologist and get a serial ECG monitoring also.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
